Happy Birthday Scouts!

100 years ago today (2/8/1910) was the day the Boy Scouts of America was founded.

Today all of our boys went to school wearing uniforms to celebrate and talk to their friends about scouts and scouting.

This is a big year to be a Cub/Boy Scout with the Centennial and we're doing lots of fun activities to commemorate the 100 years of scouting.

How far along the path to Wolf are you?

We've completed all of our requirements except for one Go See It and that's scheduled for March already.

I have some boys who have done 40 (or more) of the 50 electives.

We just finished the section on the food pyramid and played a fun game where we had a wheel that the boys would spin and an item would be on the outside like Wheel of Fortune and they'd have to figure out where it went on the pyramid.

If you're trying to fill Electives, 26, 27, and 28 can be done with the parents in an afternoon easily.

I'm happy to help out so if you want to chat more offline just drop me an email.

Thanks,

B

That's pretty cool that they wore their uniforms to school and talked to their friends about it :) Something to be very proud of!

Not a post comment, but would you be willing to add a link to my backpacking/bushcraft blog (http://www.briangreen.net/) if I add a link to yours on mine? No commitment, just thought it would be mutually beneficial.

Enjoying catching up on your recent posts.
